Kate Powlison, Age 27 - Boulder, Colorado

At 26 Kristen Peterson has found a nice balance between her day job working in a university molecular biology lab and a budding career racing triathlons. In college Kristen was a division I swimmer, now her teammates are hoping that her tall, swimmer's frame will suck them along in its wake for a couple of hours each day.

Kristen would like to teach science at the university level when work becomes the number one priority. As you can see from the photos that smile is never far from the surface. Though our Santa Rosa camp was the first time she had ridden with most of the team, she meshed immediately and showed she has the legs and the heart to get to Paris.
